Dear Editor,
My name is Neville Nathan and I’m writing this as a letter of appreciation to the community.
It hasn’t been an easy life for me being deaf, but with the support I have received from the Durban community since 1981, I
feel very blessed. It is very important to me to say thank you and let people know how much I appreciate the support.
To everyone in the Shul who help me to follow the teachings, thank you.
To UJW I really appreciate all you do for me. Thank you.
And while I won’t be able to thank everyone by name, I thank the community in general for the kindness and support.
Kind Regards
Neville Nathan
COMMUNITY NEWS
LETTER TO
EDITOR
Berea Primary School was chosen for a project by
the Durban Shul some 17 years ago, when volunteer
grandmothers and grandfathers agreed to go to the school
on a regular basis to help the children to learn to read. This
year Safta Masha Hack decided to call it a day after the 17
years.
The project is still on at Berea School and at a function to say
farewell to Masha, the school’s principal thanked the Durban
Jewish Congregation for their help.
