I’m writing this from the Old City in Jerusalem. I have had a very successful trip travelling around Israel delivering to numerous families who have endured so much pain and loss. The letters, gifts and all the love that comes with them means a great deal too every single child/ family. I have witnessed such tremendous happiness, and squeals of delight, with children enjoying and truly appreciating the wonderful gifts.

I carry a map with me to show everyone exactly where South Africa (many get confused with South America), and I talk to them about the beautiful South African community.

There are so many heroes here who have suffered and are still suffering, but they keep on going with emunah (faith) and positivity. The Jewish nation is remarkable because of how we pick ourselves up and carry on after enduring so much hatred.

I was doing deliveries with sirens going off and rockets coming in and had to turn around and go back to Jerusalem a couple of times. BH it’s over, and all is now good and calm and may it stay like that.
